In a meaningful collaboration with Link to Life, the Woman Police Officer Network (WPON) organized an impactful awareness initiative on 19 May 2025 at La Paix Community Center Piton, focused on promoting early detection of breast cancer. This event, dedicated to the well-being of female officers and the broader community, emphasized the critical importance of early screening and prevention in the fight against breast cancer.
A total of 36 women took part in on-site breast cancer screenings, highlighting the community’s proactive engagement with health initiatives. Participants also received practical guidance on how to conduct self-examinations, recognize early warning signs, and access relevant resources for follow-up care. Through this initiative, WPON and Link to Life not only empowered women with knowledge but also reinforced the message that early detection saves lives.
